Manchester City vs Manchester United: Ignoring The Numbers And Facing The Deal
Manchester will come to life this weekend as Manchester City face rivals Manchester United in one of England's most keenly followed derbies.
The Red Devils have always had a historical edge over their noisy and now more successful neighbours in the past, but since the advent of the Emirati billions, times have changed and the contest has been closer than it has ever been in history.
Since the exit of legendary manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United have progressively dwindled having some of their worst performances in many years under current manager and club great, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
However, they've been a tough nut to crack against supposedly better placed opposition this season.
Chelsea were Manchester United's first victim as they viciously displaced the Blues 4-0 in the season opener. It's been a series of underwhelming performances ever since, but the boys have always found the party groovy against better sides.
A draw against Arsenal and Liverpool, a defeat of high flying Leicester City and Tottenham has seen United defeat the bog boys and high riders in the league.
With Marcus Rashford, in the form of his life, and enjoying a good goalscoring streak against top opposition, Manchester United will be a banana skin for City and may hurt their title ambitions.
City's quality however is a plus and playing at the Etihad is definitely an advantage. This promises to be one interesting game, and one that will be value for money.
Prediction: Manchester City 2 vs 1 Manchester United
