Nigeria — Burundi. AFCON 2019 prediction by Oma Akatugba

Nigeria will take on Burundi at Alexandria Stadium in Alexandria. The Super Eagles of Nigeria missing the last two editions after winning it in 2013 are back to the biggest strage of African football. The Burundian national team after 39 years have qualified for the AFCON for the very first time. It is the game between an experienced superpower versos a newcomer as far as the African Nations Cup is concerned but it promises to be exciting. Do you know why? Both teams have got two best strikers as fast the qualification series has concerned. Nigeria's Odion Jude Ighalo scored 7 goals to emerge the top goalscorer, while Burundi's Fiston Abdoul Razak scored 6 goals to emerge the second leading scorer in the qualifiers. So that tells you what I about to expect in this big game betwen the Super Eagles and Burundi.

I think that the Super Eagles even due to their preparations losing to Senegal and drawing with Zimbabwe I still think our favourite to beat Burundi in this one. So I put my money on Nigeria to Win (W1) + Total Over 2.5 with an odds of 2.6.
